The practice offers extended hours appointments on Monday evenings between 6.30pm and 8pm when we have two doctors and a nurse available. The appointments are pre-bookable and are particularly aimed at those who find it difficult to get to the surgery during the working day.
Our practice consists of 8 doctors and a
team of nursing and support staff all working together to
improve the health care available to the people of Faringdon
and surrounding villages. We currently have over 10,000
patients registered with us and work from Faringdon Medical
Centre, a purpose designed building completed in 2002.
|What is Care.data?
Care.data is a forthcoming extract of patient
data commissioned by NHS England. The intention
of the scheme is to make increased use of the
information in medical records in order to
improve the quality of care for patients. The
service is one of the first initiatives to use
the powers of the Health and Social Care Act
2012 (HSCA), which allows the Health and Social
Care information Centre (HSCIC), in certain
circumstances, to extract confidential
information from GP practices without the need
to seek patient consent.
The NHS will not be selling the information
obtained. The Practice must meet its' legal
obligations under the HSCA, as well as their
obligations under the Data Protection Act to
undertake fair processing.
More information is included in leaflets which
are available from the Practice. Patients can
opt out of the data sharing exercise by
confirming this to the practice in writing.

Our outer practice boundary has been extended.
This means that existing patients who
move just outside our current practice boundary
i.e. to Clanfield, Shrivenham, Highworth,
Lechlade, Childrey and Fyfield, are able to
remain registered with this practice if they
wish to do so.
